Iowa announced on Tuesday that freshman linebacker Nick Wilson was dismissed from the team.

Wilson was cited on Saturday for OWI, which is a serious misdemeanor. According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Wilson’s blood alcohol concentration was .10 in the preliminary breath test, which is higher than Iowa’s .08 legal limit to operate a vehicle.

He was also charged with driving with a suspended/cancelled license.

The Granger, Iowa native attended Wes Des Moines Dowling High School and redshirted as a true freshman in 2015. The 6-2, 217-pound linebacker wasn’t listed on the team’s depth chart following spring practice.

The Hawkeyes are set to begin the 2016 season on Sept. 3 at home against Miami (Ohio).
