Billy Edwards Jr., Wake Forest transfer QB, announces B1G commitment
Billy Edwards Jr. is headed to Maryland. The Wake Forest transfer quarterback announced his pledge to play for Mike Locksley’s program on Sunday via his Twitter account.

Edwards is a redshirt freshman. He did not record any statistics during the 2021 season, but impressed during the Demon Deacons’ 2022 spring game. Per 247Sports, Edwards went 12-for-14 passing for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game.

Out of Lake Braddock High School in Virginia, Edwards was a 3-star prospect in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. He signed with Wake Forest over 29 other scholarship offers.
