Big Ten Network and College GameDay had the first tear-jerking story of the year.
A few weeks ago, Big Ten Network launched a five-part series about the life of Maryland’s Melvin Keihn, who left his mother in Liberia for a better life in the United States. He went 14 years without seeing his mother but was finally reunited recently.
It really was an extremely touching story.

College GameDay shared an abbreviated version o the story on the first college football Saturday of the year. And it certainly touched a lot of people.
Keihn is a redshirt junior defensive end for the Terrapins. He recorded 24 total tackles last season while appearing in 10 games.
Keihn’s story is certainly one of inspiration. If you haven’t watched the series yet, it’s definitely worth your time.
