D.J. Moore’s magnificent season has resulted in a program.

In Maryland’s season finale against Penn State, Moore caught his 78th pass of the season, breaking a single season record for the program. According to Roman Stubbs of the Washington Post, the previous record was held by Geroy Simon, who set the mark in 1994.

Moore entered the game with 933 yards and eight touchdowns on 72 receptions, needing seven to set the new record. He also entered the week as the B1G’s second-leading receiver, behind only Nebraska’s Stanley Morgan.

Coming into the final Saturday of the weekend, Moore had 138 receptions throughout his career with the Terrapins.
