Queen had scholarship offers from 12 programs. In addition to Maryland, he showed interest in Houston, Indiana, Kansas, LSU and others.

“It’s home. The fans have always been great,” Queen said of his decision to commit to the Terrapins, per ESPN’s Paul Biancardi.

Queen is the second 2024 commitment for Kevin Willard’s program. The Terps landed a pledge from in-state guard Malachi Palmer on New Year’s Day. The class ranks No. 39 nationally on the Composite.
