Broncos cornerback Aquib Talib has made many a receiver look foolish.

On Sunday, former Maryland receiver Stefon Diggs turned the tables in his NFL debut.

That wasn’t the only highlight of the day for Diggs, who was active for the first time with Charles Johnson and Jarius Wright out with injuries.

Diggs led the Vikings with six catches for 87 yards and was targeted 10 times by Teddy Bridgewater. It was the second most productive day for a Minnesota wideout all season.

Diggs filled in admirably and helped the Vikings rally, but they ultimately fell short in Denver. It remains to be seen whether or not the performance warranted the former fifth-round pick another crack at the lineup if Wright or Johnson is to return.

If he keeps working over elite corners like that, it’s only a matter of time.
