Former Maryland defensive back Deon Jones has found a new home in the ACC.
Earlier this week, the former four-star member of the 2017 recruiting class announced his commitment to Boston College. Jones initially hit the NCAA transfer portal in February, and took a little over a month to make his decision.
Jones will be a graduate transfer joining the Eagles, which will allow him to play immediately in the 2020 season. He will have two seasons of eligibility at the college level remaining.
Over the last two years, Jones appeared in 21 games for the Terrapins and made six starts. He totaled 51 tackles, forced two fumble and notched a tackle for loss.
Boston College is entering the first season with Jeff Hafley as the head coach. Maryland finished the 2019 season with a 3-9 record.
