Fans, media react as Maryland puts No. 2 Ohio State on upset alert at halftime

Week 12 is a wild week across college football, and No. 2 Ohio State is dealing with some chaos on the road against Maryland. At the break, the high-powered offense of the Buckeyes has been held in check with the Terrapins carrying a 13-10 lead into the break.

The big play for Maryland came on a short touchdown throw by Taulia Tagovailoa. That throw gave the Terps the lead inside 4 minutes to go before halftime, but the defense of Maryland has been the story.

At halftime, CJ Stroud is completing just 9-of-18 passes. While he has thrown for 131 yards and a touchdown, the efficiency is not there right now.

A bigger issue for the Buckeyes is the ground game. Missing Miyan Williams and with TreVeyon Henderson appearing hobbled at certain points, Ohio State has just 28 yards rushing on 13 carries at halftime. That will need to improve in the second half if Ohio State hopes to remain undefeated.

Ohio State's gonna need its third second-half comeback of the season to stay undefeated. Only a three-point deficit, but the Buckeyes have not looked great by any means.

Run game averaging 2.2 ypc and OSU gave up 180 yards and a TD on 16-18 passing for Tagovailoa.
