Maryland’s basketball team has added another piece via the transfer portal.
On Tuesday, the team announced the addition of former Arizona State forward Pavlo Dziuba. He played in eight games for the Sun Devils during the 2020-21 season as a reserve. The 6-foot-8 forward is the fourth transfer player to join the Terrapins this offseason.
“We are excited to welcome Pavlo to our program from Arizona State, where he was one of the youngest players in Division I men’s basketball last season,” said head coach Mark Turgeon. “Pavlo has tremendous upside and possesses the size and skill to significantly bolster our frontcourt. We look forward to him joining us in College Park.”

Dziuba joins Qudus Wahab (Georgetown), Fatts Russell (Rhode Island) and Ian Martinez (Utah) to transfer into Maryland during the offseason. With the influx of talent, the Terps are projected to have one of the better teams in the B1G for the 2021-22 season.
In 33 minutes of action last year at Arizona State, Dziuba had 3 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds and a block.
