Former Maryland defensive back J.C. Jackson was listed as a healthy scratch (inactive) for the Los Angeles Chargers’ Week 3 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

This is far from ideal news for Chargers fans specifically. Jackson just signed a 5-year, $82 million contract with LA but has had a rough start to the season thus far.

Jackson was especially rough in Week 1 against the Dolphins, gifting the Dolphins a field goal with an unnecessary penalty at the end of the first half. Miami went on to win by 2.

And the fact Jackson is a healthy scratch against a strong group of Vikings receivers makes the situation that much worse for him.

Jackson has been in the league since 2018. He spent 4 years with new England before signing with the Chargers in 2022.
