Former Maryland DL signed to active roster by Tennessee Titans

Former Maryland DL Sam Okuayinonu has made it to an NFL 53-man roster. The Tennessee Titans promoted Okuayinonu from their practice squad to the active roster on Tuesday.
Okuayinonu has been with the Titans since May when he signed with the team as an undrafted free agent.
Okuayinonu joined Maryland in 2019 as a JUCO transfer. In 3 seasons with the Terrapins, Okuayinonu appeared in 28 games (17 starts, recording 103 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.
Making an active roster after as an undrafted is an impressive accomplishment for Okuayinonu. Fans of the Titans and Terrapins will both be excited to see what Okuayinonu makes of his opportunity.
Tennessee is 2-2 through Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season. Okuayinonu will likely be playing in front of some Maryland fans on Sunday when the Washington Commanders host the Titans. The game is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
