Former Maryland star DJ Moore is establishing himself as a No. 1 receiver in the NFL.

Moore went off in the first half vs. Houston on Thursday night, catching six passes for 100 yards. He didn’t find the end zone himself, but he moved the chains multiple times for the Panthers in the first half and helped them to a 7-6 lead at the break.

Moore is in his fourth NFL season with the Panthers. Last year, he caught 66 passes for 1,193 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The former Terrapin appears well on his way to his third consecutive 1,000+ yard campaign. He cleared 1,100 yards in each of the previous two seasons.

Moore is getting good support from new Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold, who was acquired from the Jets this offseason. Darnold threw for 158 yards and scored a rushing TD in the first half vs. Houston.
