Former Maryland star pulled over for traveling at ridiculous rate of speed
B1G defenses and Maryland fans are aware that former Terrapins wide receiver D.J. Moore can move at a high rate of speed. But on Wednesday, the NFL rookie was pulled over in North Carolina for traveling a little too quickly.
Actually, Moore was speeding at a ridiculously high rate.
According to The Charlotte Observer, Moore was pulled over for traveling at 113 miles per hour in a 65 miles per hour zone.
Moore was charged with speeding and speeding in a work zone at over 80 miles per hour.
The trooper who pulled over Moore described the receiver as “polite and cooperative,” and said that Moore explained he was just “wanting to get home.”
Prior to the speeding ticket, Moore caught four passes for 75 yards in a preseason game for the Carolina Panthers.
Moore was a first round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, getting selected No. 24 overall by the Panthers.
