Former Maryland WR Torrey Smith announces retirement from NFL
Torrey Smith is a household name if you’re an NFL fan.
Smith had a very solid career in the professional ranks, catching 319 passes for 5,141 yards and 41 TD. Again, very respectable.

On Friday morning, Smith — at age 30 — announced his retirement:

Smith won two Super Bowls during his career, one in Baltimore and another in Philadelphia. Prior to his time in the highest level of the sport, he was a Maryland Terrapin.
At Maryland from 2008-10, Smith amassed over 2,200 yards receiving and 2,900 yards in kick return yardage. As it stands, he ranks 11th in NCAA history in regard to kickoff return yardage for a career.
