Greg McElroy previewed Taulia Tagovailoa’s important matchup against Michigan in Week 4.

This will be an important game for Maryland and Tagovailoa to prove that the team can hang around with the defending B1G Champions. Maryland heads into Saturday’s conference tilt with an undefeated 3-0 record.

While hosting “Always College Football,” McElroy previewed the upcoming game for Maryland and what it will mean for Tagovailoa:

“This is an interesting game this weekend that probably won’t get talked about enough,” McElroy said. “I think Taulia (Tagovailoa) is a difference maker. In the past, he’s been labeled as a guy that takes unnecessary risks. I don’t believe that’s the case… He’s made good, solid decisions, and I’ve been very impressed with how he’s been able to complement the run game.”

This will be a game that could shape Tagovailoa’s legacy at Maryland. The offense will need to help out Tagovailoa against Michigan:

“Taulia’s gonna have to play great, no doubt about it, but I also think the run game will help out as well,” McElroy said.

In 2022, Tagovailoa has passed for 895 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions in 3 games. In the latest win over SMU, he completed 17 of 23 attempts and passed for 214 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Maryland will be on the road against Michigan on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
