Hakim Hart has been a key piece for the Maryland program for the past three seasons. During Kevin Willward’s first season at the helm, Hart started 35 games and was a key piece throughout the season.

After entering the transfer portal, Hart has reached a decision on his next destination. Friday night, Hart revealed a commitment to play for Villanova.

The departure is a big one for Willard’s program after Hart tied for second on the team while averaging 11.4 points per game last season. He was one of three Maryland players to start every game for the Terps last season.

In addition to his scoring, Hart also averaged 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals a year ago. He is also efficient within the arc and has shot 62% from wthin 3-point range in his career.

A true veteran, Hart appeared in 116 games at Maryland and started 85 games the past three seasons.
