One of the highest-recruited receivers out of the state of Florida is headed to Maryland.

Tuesday evening, the Terrapins received a verbal commitment from high three-star wide receiver Deajaun McDougle out of Deerfield Beach, Florida. It’s another major addition for Mike Locksley and company in College Park.

McDougle made his announcement live on air by selecting a Maryland hat over the others that were on the table. He picked the Terps over offers from Ohio State, Purdue, Oregon and South Carolina. He also received interest from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State and several others.

McDougle is the highest-rated receiver in Maryland’s 2020 class and is the third-highest overall prospect to commit.

According to 247Sports’ Composite rankings, McDougle ranks in the top 400 nationally during this cycle. He’s listed as the No. 65 receiver and the No. 63 player out of Florida. McDougle is the 15th player to commit to the Terps.

In 2018, McDougle totaled 61 catches for 853 yards and eight touchdowns. He brings tremendous ball skills to College Park and can be a key player early in his career.

With the addition of McDougle, Maryland’s 2020 class sits at 38th nationally and ninth in the B1G.
