Jeshaun Jones has dealt with a lot in his Maryland career. After season-ending injuries in 2019 and 2021, he can’t believe he’s on the field again per Alyssa Muir of UMTerps.com.

Jones announced his return in Week 1 against Buffalo, with 4 receptions for 70 yards receiving. He also had a great play on a 35-yard reception that really set the tone. It was surreal moment for him.

“It’s hard to describe the feeling,” Jones said of his return. “It just felt amazing to be back out there and to have the opportunity to play football again. Especially with the team that we have, I’ve been around a lot of these guys for a while so it was great to be back out there with them.”

That 1st play was all he needed to feel like everything was back to normal. Maryland faces Charlotte next on Saturday.

“All it took was that first catch,” he said. “I knew I needed that first contact, that first catch and run after. I’ve been getting tackled in practice but it’s not the same as in a game. Once I got that, it was back to normal.”
