Jett White became Maryland’s 1st verbal commitment in the 2025 class on Saturday at the All-American Bowl.

White is a 4-star corner out of Miami (Fla.) Edison. The 247Sports Composite lists him as the No. 32 CB and No. 36 Florida prospect in the class. He picked the Terps over Penn State, Florida State, Auburn, and USC. Ohio State, Louisville, and Oregon were also in the running at one point. He comes in at 6-foot-2, 169 pounds.

Maryland lost one of its more reliable options in the secondary declare for the 2024 NFL Draft in Beau Brade. Brade led Maryland with 75 total tackles. He also accounted for 1 interception and 4 tackles for loss.

White had offers from many schools around the country. His B1G offers included USC, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Washington, and Purdue. White also runs track for Edison, competing in the 200-meter dash.

It sounds like the Terps are off to a hot start in the 2025 class. Here’s a highlight tape of White his junior season at Edison:
