Kaden Prather and the Maryland offense were gifted great field position out of of the gate against Ohio State. A botched special teams play by the Buckeyes set Taulia Tagovailoa and company on the edge of the red zone, and it only took 3 completions for the Terps to cash in.

After setting up a 1st-and-10 from Ohio State’s 15-yard line, Tagovailoa looked Prather’s way. The play design worked beautifully with Prather ending up in man-to-man coverage toward the middle of the field.

The throw from Tagovailoa was on the money, and Prather battled through some contact to reel in the catch with just one hand. The highlight reel catch gave Maryland a lightning-fast start and a 7-0 lead early on in Columbus.

There is a long way to go, but the Terrapins will need more plays like this to hang with the Buckeyes.
