Kevin Willard notes defensive improvements made by Maryland through first 2 games: ‘These kids are playing so hard’
Kevin Willard is excited about what the Maryland Terrapins’ defense has been doing in its first two games.
Following Thursday’s tough 71-51 win over Western Carolina, there was a lot to be pumped about, and Willard weighed in on how the defense has handled themselves so far.
“Every game we’ve played so far we’ve gotten better and better defensively. They understand what we’re trying to do and what they need to do. These kids are playing so hard. I’m having fun just watching them.”
Despite a tough break on the offense, the Terps have much to be confident about moving forward in the schedule and more so with the defense putting up big stops.
Maryland allowed only 15 points in the first half against Western Carolina.
The season just started but the Terps are making progress in each game. Maryland will take on Binghamton at the Xfinity Center at 7 p.m. ET next Tuesday.
