If you wanted a good seat for Maryland’s matchup against Michigan State on Saturday afternoon, there were certainly plenty available.

Whether it was the turbulent week in College Park or other reasons, there wasn’t a great turnout at Capital One Field Saturday. In a photo posted by Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press, the attendance for this weekend’s was pretty sad.

The photo was taken with less than 10 minutes until kickoff.

Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic also shared a few photos.

Maryland is 5-3 on the season and 3-2 in B1G play. Michigan State posts the exact same record. It’s not as if this was a ho-hum game against two losing programs.

Perhaps fans just didn’t want to show support for the program during such an emotional week.

Regardless, it has to be difficult for the players to see such little support inside the stadium.
