Maryland added a commitment from 4-star edge rusher Dylan Gooden Sunday morning. The talented defender now represents Maryland’s 2nd highest rated commit in the 2023 cycle. This is another strong addition to the Terps defense as both of Maryland’s top 2 commits are edge rushers, with the other being 4-star Rico Walker.

Gooden stands at 6-foot-4, 204 pounds and hails from Olney, Maryland. He is the son of Mets baseball legend Dwight Gooden.

Gooden picked the Terps over offers from Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas A&M and more.

Gooden represents Maryland’s 2nd top 300 prospect of the 2023 cycle and is considered to be the No. 282 player in the nation, the No. 48 edge rusher and the No. 6 prospect from the state of Maryland.
