According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Samuels is a 3-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He is also rated as the No. 91 Edge recruit nationally and the 18th overall player out of the state of New Jersey.
Samuels brings Maryland’s 2023 recruiting class up to 15 players committed with that group ranked 46th nationally by the team recruiting rankings. That group is currently headlined by 3-star ATH Braeden Wisloski out of Pennsylvania.
