Maryland adds experienced OL transfer from Purdue
Maryland didn’t have to go far to find its next offensive lineman transfer in Josh Kaltenberger.
He was already in the B1G and was just at Purdue all this time. Although he didn’t play in 2020, Kaltenberger has been a consistent part of the offensive line in West Lafayette over the last 3 years, appearing in 36 games.
Kaltenberger is joining a Maryland offense that finished 2nd in the B1G with 393.8 yards per game. The Terps were a problem for opposing defenses this year. The only team with more yards per game on offense in the B1G was Ohio State.

Maryland had a good start to the year, but then struggled at the halfway point of the schedule. The Terps got off to a 5-0 start before going 2-5 in its last 7 games to end the regular season.
Luckily, the team has a chance to end the year on a high note in the Music City Bowl. The Terps face Auburn on Dec. 30. Kickoff will be at 2 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN+.
