Maryland’s 2020 recruiting class got a little bigger on Monday.

The Terrapins received a commitment from 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle Amelio Moran, who is coming from Lackawanna Community College. He’s a three-star prospect and is ranked as the No. 163 player from the junior college ranks during the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Per 247Sports, he’s received 18 offers during the recruiting process. Moran made his commitment official by tweeting on Monday afternoon:

Moran addresses a huge need for Maryland, which struggled on the offensive line a season ago. There’s a good chance the junior college transfer could step in immediately and have an impact for Mike Locksley and the Terps.

According to 247Sports, Moran received a mix of offers from the FBS and FCS levels. He received three Power Five offers in addition to Maryland, receiving interest from Indiana, West Virginia and Texas Tech.

Moran becomes the 27th prospect to commit to Maryland’s 2020 class. The Terrapins rank sixth in the B1G and 29th nationally.
