Maryland announces Players of the Week for key win vs. Indiana

Maryland is 5-3 on the season and 2-3 in B1G play. The Terrapins are coming off a 38-35 win against Indiana.

Maryland has released its Players of the Week for each phase of the game. On the offensive side of the ball QB Taulia Tagovail0a and WR Carlos Carriere won.

Tagovailoa was 26-of-40 for a 65% completion rate throwing the ball for 419 yards and 2 touchdowns. Carriere had 8 receptions for 134 yards on 16.5 yards per reception and 2 touchdowns.

On the defensive side of the ball for the Terrapins, DB Tarheeb Still and DL Ami Finau won.

Still on the day had 3 total tackles, 2 pass breakups, and 1 sack. Finau on the day had 3 total tackles for the Terrapins.

The Special Teams Players of the Week for the Terrapins were K Joseph Petrino and DB Glendon Miller.

Petrino was 1-for-2 on FGs as he made a 41-yard attempt and was 5-for-5 on extra-point attempts. Miller was credited with just outstanding coverage on the team’s Twitter account.
