When Maryland takes on Illinois this weekend, the Terps will be led by a trio of captains that the team announced on Wednesday.

Leading Maryland this week are captains defensive lineman wide receiver Ami Finau, Darryl Jones and offensive lineman Johari Branch.

Friday night in Champaign will feature a pair of teams heading in different directions, with the Terps coming off a 62-0 blowout of Howard, after their season-opening win over West Virginia. For the struggling Illini, they will be looking to get past their at-home embarrassment at the hands of Texas-San Antonio and a one-sided loss to Virginia.

Memorial Stadium will be familiar territory for some of the Terps staff.

Maryland head coach Mike Locksley was an offensive coordinator at Illinois from 2005-08. Also, special teams coach Ron Zook was the head coach at Illinois from 2005-11.

Kickoff is set for 6:30 PM on Friday, Sept. 17 in Champaign, IL.
