Maryland baseball suffers season-ending walk-off loss at hands of George Mason
That’s a tough way to go out, Terrapins.
Maryland baseball saw its season come to a close Sunday evening at the hands of George Mason, 11-10 in a classic of a game. The Terps hopped out to an early 8-3 lead over the Patriots before a devastating 4th inning saw George Mason score 7 runs to take a 10-8 advantage.
Maryland still has some fight left, though. The Terps evened the score at 10 with a Matt Woods blast to left in the 6th inning.

George Mason finished things off without needing to move to extras, hitting a sacrifice fly to bring in a runner. With the win, the Patriots advance to the Regional Final against No. 1 Wake Forest Sunday after 6 p.m.

As for Maryland, the Terps end their season with a 42-21 final record.
