The Maryland football program has been under watch since this past offseason.
Leading into the 2018 season, former OL Jordan McNair died of a heatstroke. There has been a lot going on around the program and coach D.J. Durkin since the incident. Durkin was then put on administrative leave.
In a story published on Oct. 1 in Maryland’s student newspaper The Diamondback, Maryland booster Rick Jaklitsch backed Durkin when he said it was “ridiculous” that Durkin was put on leave. Since then, and understandably so, Terrapins players aren’t exactly in favor of Jaklitsch.
So, when Jaklitsch’s name was seen by Maryland players on the passenger list for a charter flight to Michigan, they weren’t having it. The result?
Jaklitsch was removed from the school’s travel group:
Filed to ESPN: A #Maryland booster who last week made controversial comments about the late Jordan McNair was removed from school's travel group to Michigan after players found out he was on the team charter and complained, according to sources.

Terrapin players aren’t in favor of Jaklitsch. Booster or not, Jaklitsch doesn’t get to do whatever he wants.
That now includes traveling with the team to games.
