Maryland closes out 1st half vs. Purdue with thrilling jam from Aaron Wiggins
Maryland played about as well as it possibly could have through the first 20 minutes of Saturday afternoon’s game against Purdue. And it was capped off with a thrilling slam dunk from Aaron Wiggins in the final two minutes of the half.
The Terrapins owned a 32-18 lead with less than two minutes remaining in the first half and when a lane to the basket opened up, Wiggins took the ball hard to the rim for one of the top dunks of the weekend. It was an emphatic way to end the half.

That’s a slam that will be replayed throughout the weekend. Wiggins ended the half with eight points and five rebounds.
Maryland nearly doubled Purdue in the first half, owning a 36-20 advantage heading into the locker room. The Terps are looking to get back over the .500 mark in B1G play, currently sitting at 3-3. They’ve dropped back-to-back games to Iowa and Wisconsin on the road.
