After a freshman season in 2016 where he didn’t do much, Richardson made three starts as a sophomore and appeared in nine games. He finished the year with 22 tackles and registered a tackle for loss.

In 2018, he appeared in all 12 games and started 10 of them. He finished fifth on the team in tackles while also recording his first interception at the collegiate level.

After a career year in 2018, Richardson was injured in 2019 and took a medical redshirt. He returned in 2020 where he posted a career-best nine tackles against Indiana earlier this season.

Based on current rules, it appears that Richardson has two more years of eligibility. It’s unclear whether he’ll be able to play right away at his next school.
