Maryland made a huge addition in the class of 2024 on Sunday afternoon.

The Terps picked up a commitment from 4-star running back Dejuan Williams out of Baltimore. The in-state prospect chose Maryland over programs such as Oregon, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh, amongst others.

Williams is a massive pickup for Maryland. He’s the No. 329 overall player and the No. 27 running back in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 9 player from Maryland.

He attends St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds.

Williams took an official visit to Maryland last month before making his decision. He’s been a longtime target for Maryland — his initial offer from the Terps came back in October of 2021.

Williams is the 15th prospect to join Maryland’s 2024 recruiting class. He’s the highest-ranked prospect in the class. Overall, Maryland’s group is ranked No. 42 in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
