Maryland expecting to be without one LB for Week 2 vs Minnesota
As it currently stands, Maryland is reportedly expecting to be without linebacker Durell Nchami for Week 2.
The season opener was not kind in any fashion for the Terrapins. That especially includes a defense that gave up 43 points to a Northwestern offensive attack led by QB Peyton Ramsey.

It was a disappointing showing to start Mike Locksley’s second season with the Terps, but it was also a tough one on the injury front. Nchami, who tore his ACL in 2019, sustained a lower-body injury in the loss.
Fortunately, the injury did not include ligament damage this time around, but his return is unclear at this time:
As of now Maryland linebacker Durell Nchami will not be available vs. Minnesota. He tore his ACL last season, and after a lower-body injury at Northwestern, he had an MRI that showed no damage to any ligaments.

Nchami had just one tackle in 2019 before his injury. As a freshman in 2018, he showed promise with 15 tackles, including 4.5 for loss and a sack. Hopefully this is a minor setback before returning to the field quickly.
