Maryland fans did not really show up for the season opener. A picture released on social media shows that there was very little fan attendance per Patrick Stevens of the Washington Post.

Maryland is kicking off its season against Buffalo at home. The hype around the Terps should have been enough to get more people than the picture showed to come to the games. That was not the case, apparently.

At the moment, Maryland is up 14-0. Roman Hemby and Antwan Littleton II have found the end zone so far for the Terrapins.

Maybe this is just a sign of Labor Day weekend, but the Maryland faithful are not showing up to support their team in Week 1. Maryland fans will get a chance to redeem themselves on Sept. 17, when they take on SMU at home.
