Maryland flips 4-star RB away from Virginia Tech ahead of Early Signing Period
Maryland just pulled off a big-time flip heading into the Early Signing Period.
Tuesday evening, 4-star running back Ramon Brown put out a video with his announcement. Previously committed to Virginia Tech, Brown flipped to the Terrapins and head coach Mike Locksley:
“My parents taught me to be a leader. I am a trendsetter who is not afraid to go the path unknown,” said Brown.
“Next, I want to thank Virginia Tech fans and coaches for giving me the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a Hokie, but I have made my decision. For the next 3-4 years I will be attending the Unversity of Maryland.”
Respect my decision 💯#Goterps🐢

Brown is rated the No. 29 RB in the nation by the industry-generated composite rankings. He is also the No. 236 player in the nation regardless of position and becomes the second-highest-rated commit for Maryland’s 2022 class.
