Maryland flips 5-star WR from LSU to stay closer to home, join Terrapins for 2020
Maryland just got its most prized possession for its 2020 recruiting class Wednesday afternoon. It flipped 5-star wide receiver Rakim Jarrett from LSU:

Jarrett is a 6-foot, 208-pound pass-catcher from Washington, D.C. He is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the Class of 2020 by 247Sports Composite. He is now the top-ranked commit in Maryland’s 2020 class.

Jarrett originally committed to LSU on April 27, 2019. He then took an official visit to Maryland on Dec. 6, 2019, and that’s likely when things started to change.
Maryland coach Mike Locksley has now recruited his first 5-star recruit to the Terrapins and Jarrett holds scholarship offers from LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and others.
