Maryland football is coming off the best two-year stretch of Mike Locksley’s tenure as head coach. Now, the Terrapins will try to take another step forward in the 2023 season.

On Tuesday, the Terrapins officially set the date and time for the annual Red-White Spring Game. This year, the spring game will be held on April 29 with a noon ET kickoff at SECU Stadium and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

Maryland will begin the spring practice sessions on March 28. The Terrapins will hold 15 practices, concluding with the Red-White Spring Game.

Maryland returns 11 starters for the 2023 season, including 6 on the offensive side of the ball for a unit that averaged just over 28 points per game. Most notably, star quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa is returning for one more season with the program.

We’ll see how the Terrapins fare after a 15-11 overall record and back-to-back bowl wins in 2021-22.
