Maryland gets pledge from another in-state prospect, three-star DE
Maryland has added another in-state prospect to the 2021 recruiting class.
Monday, the Terrapins landed a commitment from three-star defensive end Terrance Butler. He is a native of Baltimore, Maryland who had eight additional offers. Butler made his announcement with a post on Twitter.

Butler became the 16th member of the 2021 recruiting class to commit to Maryland. The Terps currently own the nation’s 12th-ranked recruiting class and is fifth-best in the B1G.
He’s also the ninth player from Maryland to commit to the hometown school.
According to 247Sports, Butler ranks as the No. 25 player out of the state of Maryland and the No. 52 weak-side defensive end in this year’s cycle. He’s listed at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds and has been offered by nine schools during the recruiting process.
Butler picked Maryland over Boston College, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Syracuse and Tennessee.
