Maryland basketball just scooped up a nice commitment for the Class of 2022. Four-star forward Bobi Klintman announced on Oct. 13 that he’s committing to Maryland, according to 247Sports.

Klintman, a 6-foot-9 combo forward, explained why he’s joining the Terps.

“I’m going to Maryland. I just feel like there was something special about that place. I watched the practice, I’ve been talking to the coaches for a while now and I just feel like what they are doing, they go into March Madness most every year, I just feel like it is a great fit for me,” Klintman said to 247Sports. “They have been successful with big wings like me. They had Kevin Huerter, they had Aaron Wiggins this past season, so I feel like it is a great fit for me.”

Klintman is ranked as the nation’s No.111 prospect according to 247Sports.

Last season, Maryland posted a 17-14 record and fell to Alabama in the Round of 32. Maryland begins this season with a home matchup vs. Quinnipiac on Nov. 9. Maryland tips off B1G play with a road contest at Iowa on Jan. 3 (9 p.m. EST/BTN).
