Maryland has had a whirlwind of an offseason leading into 2018.

With that, Matt Canada is the team’s interim coach and he had a press conference on Tuesday ahead of the Terrapins’ season opener against Texas. The game against the Longhorns is scheduled for a noon kickoff on Saturday at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

During Canada’s presser, he said that he has decided on who the starting QB will be against Texas, but isn’t willing to announce it to the world just yet:

Tyrrell Pigrome is a sophomore who completed 37-of-71 passes for 322 yards, 2 TD and 2 INT a season ago. Kasim Hill, a redshirt freshman, appeared in three games last season before missing the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Hill threw for 230 yards while completing 18-of-21 passes with 2 TD and zero INT.

Canada’s full press conference can be watched below:

At Texas a season ago, Maryland began the year with a 51-41 victory. Entering Saturday’s matchup, the Terrapins are unranked, while the Longhorns hold a No. 23 ranking.
