Maryland lands 2023 commitment from CB out of Georgia

Maryland is now up to 19 commitments in its 2023 recruiting class. Mike Locksley’s program received a new pledge Sunday from a cornerback out of Georgia.
Kevis Thomas announced his commitment to the Terrapins on Sunday, via his Twitter account.

A standout at Lowndes in Valdosta, Georgia, Thomas is listed at 6-feet, 179 pounds. Thomas is Maryland’s highest-ranked 2023 commitment as the No. 620 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite, which rates him 3-stars, the No. 57 Peach State recruit and No. 59 cornerback.
During his recruitment, Thomas has picked up scholarship offers from 25 schools, including Indiana, Michigan State and Purdue. Thomas announced a commitment to Vanderbilt on June 19, but backed off that pledge June 28.
