Maryland picked up another commitment in the class of 2024 on Tuesday evening.
The Terps earned a pledge from 3-star cornerback Larry Tarver Jr. Tarver was previously committed to Florida International.

Tarver’s profile has increased nationally in recent weeks. Despite being committed to FIU, he has received offers from Maryland, Texas A&M and Louisville since the beginning of May. He also took official visits to Maryland and A&M before flipping his commitment.
Tarver is currently ranked as the No. 902 overall prospect and the No. 73 cornerback in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. However, his ranking could rise in the coming months.
He attends TRU Prep Academy in Miami Gardens, Fla. He’s listed at 5-foot-11, 165 pounds.
Maryland now has 12 commits in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 54 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
