Maryland Terrapins redshirt sophomore long snapper James Rosenberry, Jr. entered the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday, sharing the decision on his Twitter account.

A product of Olentangy High School just outside Columbus, Ohio, Rosenberry, who is majoring in Animal Science, did not appear in any games in 2018, his first year on-campus, but started all 12 contests in 2019.

Set to graduate in June, he will be immediately eligible in 2021.

Their second season under head coach Mike Locksley, the Terrapins played just five games in 2020, posting a 2-3 record.

Locksley did, however, add a big name to his coaching staff, hiring Dan Enos as the program’s offensive coordinator on Monday.

Following a stint as the Central Michigan Chippewas’ head coach from 2010-14, Enos has spent time on the staffs of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Michigan Wolverines, Alabama Crimson Tide, Miami Hurricanes, and Cincinnati Bearcats.

Maryland is scheduled to begin their 2021 campaign against the Big 12 Conference’s West Virginia Mountaineers on September 4 at Capital One Field at Maryland Stadium.
