There goes another Maryland LB into the transfer portal.

This comes after the Terrapins lost former 5-star LB Terrence Lewis to the transfer portal on Monday. Now another one has followed in his footsteps. Brandon Jennings will now be transferring out of the program as well.

Jennings saw some playing time as true freshman. He had 23 total tackles, 17 solo tackles, 6 assisted tackles, and 1 forced fumble in his first year as a Terrapin. He played in 7 games for the Terps in 2021. He also was a 2021 Mid-Season True Freshman All-American as voted by ESPN and On3Sports.

Rivals.com announced the news via Twitter on Tuesday afternoon. Jennings was listed as a 4-star recruit from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida per Rivals.com.

It’ll be interesting to see if anything comes up that could have persuaded these 2 linebackers to leave Maryland. We’ll see if any other defensive players for the Terps decide to leave in the coming weeks.
