Maryland loses another WR for remainder of 2021 season
As if the receiver room at College Park isn’t thin enough, it was reported today that Maryland wide receiver Marcus Fleming is out for the remainder of the season.
Maryland WR Marcus Fleming will have surgery this week after suffering an injury in the Michigan State game, Locksley said.
He’s done for the season but won’t be out for an “extended” period.

Fleming suffered an injury during the Terps 40-21 loss to No.7 Michigan State on Saturday. He will require surgery this week and miss the remainder of the season, but reportedly won’t be out for “an extended period.”
After the losses of Dontay Demus, Jr. and Jeshuan Jones, Fleming had the opportunity to step in and make an impression. The freshman transfer from Nebraska did just that.
In his first start, Fleming pulled in 5 passes for 62 yards and a touchdown against Minnesota. He had 1 reception for 23 yards against the Spartans before leaving the game. He was injured on a kick return and appeared to be favoring his right leg.
Fleming finishes the season with 18 receptions for 197 yards and 1 TD.
