Maryland makes top 5 for 4-star 2023 in-state DL

Maryland is in the mix for one of the state’s top prospects. On Sunday, Dashawn Womack included the Terrapins in his top 5.
Mike Locksley’s Maryland program is in the mix along with Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Oregon.

Listed at 6-4, 225 pounds, Womack is rated 4-stars, the No. 2 Maryland product, No. 13 defensive lineman and No. 106 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. A standout of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Womack has picked up 33 scholarship offers in his recruitment.
Maryland is the only Big Ten program to make the cut from top 10 to top 5. Womack’s April top 10 featured Maryland, Michigan, Rutgers, Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Pitt, Rutgers and Temple.
