Maryland has undergone quite a lot over the past few days.
First, coach DJ Durkin was reinstated to be the man in charge. People didn’t like it.
Then on Wednesday, he was let go from the program. On Thursday, one of the men truly responsible for getting Durkin back in as coach — Board of Regents Chair James Brady — resigned.
Problem solved, right? Well, not quite.
At practice on Thursday, a report came out that Matt Barber, a punter for the Terrapins, was beat up by teammates because he talked to investigators about Durkin.
In response to Barber’s story, fellow offensive lineman Ellis Mckennie isn’t sharing the same story:
This is a lie. https://t.co/SVbQv488B6

Maryland DT Oseh Saine said that Barber’s story was false as well. Saine claims that Barber was picking on younger players, which led to Barber’s stitches and dislocated shoulder.
We may never know what truly happened, but we do know one thing:
Maryland is a mess.
