Another B1G college football game has been canceled.

On Wednesday afternoon, Maryland announced that it has paused all team activities due to an increased number of COVID-19 cases. That means that Saturday’s matchup against Ohio State in College Park on Nov. 14 has been canceled. There will not be a make-up date for the game.

This is the third B1G game to be canceled through the first four weeks of the season. The first two were because of Wisconsin’s concerns with the COVID-19 virus. The Badgers canceled games against Nebraska (Week 2) and Purdue (Week 3).

“Maryland Football will pause all team-related activities due to an elevated number of COVID-19 cases within the Terrapins’ program.” Maryland said in a statement. “The Ohio State game scheduled for Saturday, November 14 has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.”

Ohio State is 3-0 on the season and Maryland is 2-1.

“We’re obviously extremely disappointed that we’ll be unable to host Ohio State this Saturday,” head coach Mike Locksley said. “It was an opportunity that our team was preparing for and excited about. However, we have and always will keep our players, coaches and staffs safety at the forefront of our decision making process. We’ll continue to operate as much as we can virtually as we monitor the situation in hopes of returning to play when it’s deemed safe.”
