Maryland baseball is moving on after beating Nebraska on Saturday. The Terps beat the Huskers by a score of 4-2.

Maryland scored first in the game thanks to a safety squeeze in the from Elijah Lambros. The Terps would add to their lead with some good hitting in the third inning.

Kevin Keister brought home two runs with the bases loaded, making it 3-0 Maryland. The single went into left field and gave the baserunners plenty of time to head for home plate.

A homer in the fifth inning gave Maryland an insurance run after Eddie Hacopian blasted the baseball over the left field fence to make it 4-0. All that was left for the Terps to do was secure the win with some good pitching.

Jason Savacool stayed on the mound for six innings. He allowed just 4 hits and had 6 strikeouts with 0 earned runs.

Kenny Lippman, Nigel Belgrave, and Andrew Johnson pitched for a combined three innings in relief of Savacool. Lippman pitched for two innings and didn’t allow any runs to cross home plate. Belgrave allowed the only two runs on the game, and Johnson closed the door on Nebraska in the ninth.

Maryland will face Iowa on Sunday. Fans can tune into the game at 3 p.m. ET on BTN.
